The tour will take you to Kibale National Park, which is a known true natural habitat for chimpanzees. You’ll get to see them swinging in the tropical forest. Then, you will head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for gorilla trekking. This tour includes a relaxing evening with a magnificent view of Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 1. Transfer to kibale forest national park

You’ll be picked up by a company safari guide. He will welcome you to Uganda, the Pearl of Africa, from either your hotel or airport and be ready for a 9-hour drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have lunch along the way. Later, you’ll arrive in the evening and check in and rest. Later, you’ll have dinner, which will be served at the lodge.

Day 2. chimpanzee trekking and swamp walk

You’ll have an early morning breakfast before departing to the park headquarters where you will be given a safety and tracking briefing. You will then be taken by vehicle to a starting point, to commence your chimpanzee trekking in the forest. After this phenomenal wildlife experience, you’ll return to your vehicle on the edge of the forest, returning to the lodge for lunch. You’ll take an afternoon swamp walk in the Bigodi Swamp Sanctuary to see some birds and other primates.

Day 3. Transfer to bwindi impenetrable forest national park

You’ll have an early breakfast before departing for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Queen Elizabeth National Park and peek out for the eye-catching animals on the way like elephants, buffalos, antelopes, warthogs and other wildlife. In the afternoon, you’ll relax while having lunch in Kihihi town. You’ll continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the ultimate gorilla experience.

Day 4. gorilla trekking and transfer to  lake bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing by park ranger guides and depart with picnic lunch boxes to start gorilla trekking. The activity can last up to 4 hours or more to find the mountain gorillas as you hike up and down the slopes with dense mist-covered vegetation. Hence, you will have a packed lunch for this activity. This active quest will eventually bring you face to face with one of the most sought-after creatures: mountain gorillas. Upon reaching them, you will have a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos. You will later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi for optional activities like canoeing, boat riding, and community visits.

Day 5. Transfer back to kampala

After breakfast, you’ll start on the long drive back to Entebbe/Kampala with the memory of the great rare mountain apes. You’ll have lunch en route with a stopover at the equator line for experimentation. You’ll arrive late in the evening to be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport at approximately 6 pm to check in for your air transfer back home. Say farewell to the Pearl of Africa.
