This trip allows you to track gorillas in Uganda, see golden monkeys in Rwanda, and proceed to Kibale National Park, which is also the World’s Primate Capital for chimpanzee trekking. For photographers and primate lovers, this trip is designed to fulfill your needs, please feel free to customize this tour to your liking, you can do as many activities as you wish and accommodations can be changed to fit your needs. Accommodations are subject to availability.
Day 1:Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our guide will pick you up from the airport or hotel depending on the arrangements you have made with the company. You will then visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center. Then, you’ll proceed to Ruhengeri Town driving for 2 hours and 30 min for lunch. Afterward, you will check in at your lodge. After check-in, you will visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund center in Kinigi. Afterward, you will relax at your lodge as you prepare for the next day’s activities.
Day 2 :Golden Monkey Tracking in Rwanda and Transfer to Uganda
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of the golden monkey trekking experience. The activity can last as much as 6 hours or as short as 3 hours. After the tracking experience, you will proceed to the Rwanda-Uganda border crossing town of Chanika and do the immigration process. Afterward, you’ll check in at your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda.
Day 3: Gorilla Tracking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing about the dos and don’ts of the gorilla trekking experience. The activity can last as much as 8 hours or as short as 3 hours depending on the gorilla family allocated to you. Golden trekking requires a minimum level of fitness. Gorilla permits are very limited and must be booked very early in advance.
Day 4: Transfer Kibale Forest National Park
The transfer to Kibale National Park is a very scenic drive that takes you through whining roads and very beautiful green environments. You’ll get a chance to pass through the mighty Queen Elizabeth National Park with the chance to see some animals along the way. Lunch will be en route. You will arrive early evening and opt to do some of the optional activities as will be highlighted by your guide.
Day 5: Transfer to Entebbe international Aiport
This is the last day of your trip but also the most exciting last day you have ever seen because you will have an exciting morning with humanity’s closest relative, the chimpanzees. This will mostly take up to 3 to 5 hours. After this activity, depending on your arrangements with Unveil uganda safaris , you will proceed to Entebbe International Airport which is 5 hour’s drive away. You can also opt for a 1-hour domestic flight.
